Privacy policy

One More X Pty Limited (ABN 17 702 697 112) ("One More X", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through onemorex.com.au and our social media accounts, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

1. Guess my time (website). Your guess, first name and email address, and your Instagram or TikTok handle if you give it. If you tick the box, we also note that you want an email before each race.
2. Guess my time (Instagram). If you enter by commenting on our Instagram post, we record your Instagram handle, your comment and the time it was posted.
3. Have a go. What you are nominating, where, the details you give us, your first name, and your email address or social media handle.
4. Work with JL. What your enquiry is about, when and where, the details you give us, your name and email address. Your organisation and phone number are optional.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not buy information about you from anyone else.

Why we collect it

We use your information to run our competitions and contact winners, to reply to nominations and enquiries, to arrange events and the services you ask for, and (only if you asked for it) to send you a short email before each race. You can unsubscribe from race emails at any time by replying to one or messaging us. We do not use your information for anything unrelated without asking you first.

What we publish

If you win a competition, or your nomination or challenge goes ahead, we may publish your first name, your town or state and your social media handle in our posts, videos and on this website. We never publish your email address or phone number.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. It is handled by a small number of service providers that we use to run this website and our business:

1. Netlify, which hosts this website and delivers form entries to us.
2. Google, which provides our email.
3. YouTube, which plays the videos on this website. Videos load in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube's own terms apply once you press play.
4. Instagram (Meta) and TikTok, where we run and announce competitions.

These providers may store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How we keep it safe

This website uses an encrypted (https) connection. Entries and enquiries are stored in password-protected business accounts that only we can access. We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us, or as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do that, or to make a privacy complaint, email jleys@onemorex.com.au, use any form on onemorex.com.au, or send a direct message to @onemore_x_ on Instagram. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
